Cute As A Bug

All of the cards that I have made have been for my personal enjoyment of making with the hopes of giving it to someone at some point. This week I finally got the chance to make and give not one but two cards away. My mother-in-law asked if I would make a card for the baby shower we would be attending this weekend so I of course could not turn down a chance to use my cricut. I needed to make a card to go along with my gift anyway so it gave me a little extra time in my craft room. I came up with 2 different designs and I love them both.

The mother-to-be has chosen a Ladybug theme for her baby girls room so I wanted to try to use them in some way in the cards.

This is the card my mother-in-law gave with her knitted blanket and baby sweater that she made. They turned out so adorable, she did an amazing job. I wish I had pictures to show you. She wanted a ladybug and the phrase "Cute As A Bug" on the card so this is what I came up with.

This is the card that I gave with for my gift.  I found this really cute paper at Hobby Lobby by Paper Studio that had some ladybugs on it so I wanted to use that for sure.

Manly "Nuts About U" Card

Hi everyone, sorry I know I have not posted very much the last week or so but I have been busy and was out of town for a while. I actually thought this week I would be able to get to spend a lot more time in my craft room but it just was not happening. First off I want to welcome all of my new followers that have found my blog through Momo's Link Your Blog Party  that she hosted on her blog. If you have less than 200 followers and have not listed your blog on her linky party then you must check it out here. So many amazing blogs are linked so please check it out! Thank you to all of my followers, I love having you as friends!!!!

I have really developed a passion for card making ever since I got my Cricut for Christmas. I really enjoy it! For this card I was hoping to pull off a more masculine look and I think I did it. It was a challenge for me because I like to make things pink and bright. I did make this for my husband and he thought it was manly. Well I came across a challenge this week on More Than Favors that requested a 'Manly Card" so I thought I would post this one. I love this little squirrel!

All A Flutter

I have now added butterflies to my "things I am obsessed with" list. Little Birdies and Owls are also on that list. I think that the Create-A-Critter Cartridge has the cutest of these but this is about the only really cool cartridge I have at this point so I am sure there are more out there. Which by the way I am getting a few more cartridges in the next few weeks so there will be an end to my projects with only CAC. At least not every project I post. It will be nice to try out something new. Well, Kristal over at Getting Cricky with K. Andrew is having a Simply Sunday Challenge with a theme of All A Flutter. I have had this cute butterfly patterned paper by Paper Studio for a while now but was not for sure how exactly I wanted to use it until tonight. I all of a sudden had an image come into mind and after playing for a bit I came up with this! Simple, but sure to put a SMILE on any ones face:) Enjoy!

This picture is not the best, I woke up to a VERY gloomy day so the lighting was not good at all. I really wanted to get this posted so I went with the best one.

Sweet Baby Card

I am so glad this card came out cute. I was not for sure what I could create using these colors but once I started it all came together nicely. Well, I guess that's the challenge. Paula over at More Than Favors hosts a Wacky Wednesday challenge each week and this week the challenge was to use the colors green, purple and yellow. I also came across another challenge over at the Cricut Cardz Challenge blog and the challenge this week was to create a TALL card at 9x4 with any theme. This is the first TALL card I have ever made. So anyway I decided to combine the two challenges and make what I hoped would be a really cute card. Hope you enjoy!

Sweet Butterfly Card

I don't know about you but I am soooooooo very ready for SPRING! We have had a bit of a warm up these last couple weeks and by that I mean temps in the 40's which after the bitter cold winter we had feels amazing. Well its only going to get better, temps near the end of this week are supposed to reach the 60's...YIPPIE!!!!!! I am ready for fresh air, lots of sunshine, green grass and the blooming flowers. Well anyway Robyn at My Pink Stamper has a Blog Hop the 2nd Friday of every month which also includes a challenge. This month the challenge was to create something with a SPRING Theme. For my project I chose to use these bright fun colors and sweet little butterfly. It's a pretty simple card but that is the way I like to try to keep them. If you missed my "Sunny Days" post a few weeks ago check it out here.

and fill it up with love".

Bitten by the Bug 2 is having a challenge this week to make a project with a ladybug. I love the ladybug on the Create-A-Critter cartridge so I decided to whip something up. Of course I had to change it up a bit and make my ladybug pink!

"HOOT" Card

I have a new love for all things Owl's and cute little Birds for some reason, probably because they are ADORABLE! Well this little owl is exactly that...Adorable! At least in my opinion she is:) Robyn at My Pink Stamper is having a challenge this week to create something using a "feathered friend". With my owl and bird obsession I knew it would be one of those for sure. I have a cute birdie project in the works so I will post it soon!

Book Worm

I had a lot of fun making up this project. I know I have been using this cartridge a lot lately but I seriously can not get enough of it. I just love it. I have plans to get a few more cartridges really soon if I can ever figure out the few that I REALLY want. I have a hard time narrowing it down, they are all so cute. What are your favorite cartridges, any suggestions on ones I really just HAVE to have? I would love to know your opinion. I only have a few cartridges so I really need to expand my collection.
Anyway...I have had some ideas to make a bookmark for a while now but when I saw that the Cricut Cardz Challenge this week was to make a bookmark I got excited and had to put the ideas to use. I love this little worm, he is just to darn cute and definitely fits for a bookmark. I just thought he would make the cutest little "Book Worm"! Enjoy!
